Do not fall in Love!

What?! Not to fall in love?  But…that's the dream of almost every person… and how does the story of Biblical Abraham show us NOT to fall in love?
And, what kind of advice is that not to fall in love?

Gd said to Abram, “…The LORD said unto Abram: 'Go forth from your native land and from your birthplace and from your father’s house, to the land that I will show you…” (Genesis, 12:1)

In other words: Take yourself, your wife and all your household, and start moving... We must remember:
  • Abram was not a young man at that time. He was already 75 years old. Usually you look for your retirement plans at this age, enjoy life, the grandchildren…. You usually don’t start new adventures at this age.
  • Abram’s household included some 300 people, men women children animals… all depending on him.
  • God didn’t even tell him where to go, just -“The land that I will show you”.
  • No Moving Companies at that time, you had to do all by yourself – DIY

Abram doesn’t argue, he just starts moving! How many of us will be ready to move somewhere without knowing where?

I promise you, you will have good life!

God tells Abram “And I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you…and you shall be a blessing”. He is saying, Abram, your luck is there, I promise, you will not regret.

Abram moves, and what happens in the next years?

Instead of luck, blessing, family, good life, He had to lead wars, he had problems within his family members… the king of Egypt wants to take his beautiful wife…

Hey! What is going on? Where are all the blessing and all the beautiful promises?
And after all, as if this is not enough, God, the one who promised him all the good, comes and asks him to sacrifice his son!

Now, what do you think? How many people could stand even a part of all this? How many people would longest say “…Ok, Ok, with due respect, enough is enough. Thanks for all; I will stay where I am…”

Don't FALL in love, RISE in love

You are standing before the beginning of a new chapter in your life.

It’s a new Journey.

I know you do have life experience and you are not children, and you have done some things in your life… but now forget that all.

You are starting a NEW JOURNEY. This journey is totally different journey.

You think you know each other? Forget it, you just think so.

You are starting a new journey and you believe that you will be happy, be blessed, and be lucky… well think again!!

Yes, it’s a blessing when you find your second half, your twin soul.

Yes, Family is a great blessing.

Yes, Abram was turned to Abraham and he was, and He IS Blessed. (No grammatical error).

Yes, all the promises and the blessing were fulfilled.

BUT… You and He started a Journey. A long journey full of challenges, full of ups and downs.  So, hold on, this journey is a Roller coaster, hold on tight, hold on and stick to each other. Love each other especially when you are not with all the makeup, the perfumes and all the beautiful dresses.

Rise in love and do not fall in love.
